Harrison City is located in Westmoreland CountyPennsylvania, approximately twenty-five miles southeast of Pittsburgh.  Home to about 150 residents, this close-knit, family-oriented community is graced with a positive economy, low crime, and beautiful seasonal weather that produces hot, humid summers, cold snowy winters, and lovely wild weather during spring and fall.  The city is served by the Penn-Trafford School District.

Key community facilities include the Municipal Park Complex, featuring athletic fields, batting cages, a deck hockey court, skateboard park, basketball and sand volleyball courts, and trails for hiking and biking; and the Harrison Room, a 450-seat banquet facility available for weddings, special events, and private parties, located at the Harrison City Volunteer Fire Department.  The city also hosts a number of festivals and community events each year, including the Autumn Potpourri Crafts Show, held each September, and St. Barbara Festival, held each July at St. Barbara Catholic Church.

Historic Bushy Run Battlefield Park, site of the 1736 military encounter between British and Native American forces, is located two miles east of the city.  The historic battle, fought during Pontiac’s Rebellion, was a major victory for the British and secured their control of the Ohio River Valley and what later became the Northwest Territory.  The park is a National Historic Landmark and features a museum, educational and interpretive programs, and historical reenactments.
